The Power of Silence

We live in a world with many distractions. Computers, cellphones, podcast, the list goes on. Our minds are always thinking about what we did in the past or what our next moves are in the future. Did you ever hear the expression, “silence is golden”?
Well, this can be so true. When we silence our mind, our thoughts, our busy schedules and get relaxed in the “now” we get a sort of peace.
A feeling of peace that can be addictive in a very good way. This is true peace. The more we can sit in a quiet place and quiet our minds, the more we can feel at peace. This is where our guides can come through to communicate with you. It is truly a blessing. Take 10 minutes today and sit quietly and see how you feel. Make this a daily habit.
As time moves on, move into 20 minutes. Don’t be hard on yourself if your mind drifts back to your to do list, this happens to everyone, just bring it back on your breath or a clock on the wall and focus on that one thing. It can be anything.
Know that the more you practice this the better and longer you can clear your mind. This is actually a very healthy thing to do.
